Ottawa Sun Scramble Results: Promomedia B, Round 1

August 15, 2012 – Ottawa, Ontario. Ottawa Sun Scramble City Championship Week, the region's largest golf event with 700 competitors and 11 different divisions, is underway. Round one of the second event, the Promomedia B City Championship, was held today at Le Sorcier where 70 teams competed for 18 spots and a chance to play for the city title on Saturday at Club de golf Outaouais.

The final six spots were won with pars in a nine-team playoff.

Ottawa Sun Scramble was first launched in 2005 with an Open and Senior event at Eagle Creek Golf Club, but now offers 10 two-round partner divisions plus the Régimbal Media Challenge and three qualifying events. The tournament is conducted by local golf promotion company, Executive Golf (executivegolf.ca), and is a scramble format where both players take a shot and the best of the two is used, from the tee box, on the fairway, in bunkers and on the green.

Ottawa Sun Scramble Results: Absolute Comedy C, Round 1

August 14, 2012 – Ottawa, Ontario. Ottawa Sun Scramble City Championship Week, the region's largest golf event with 700 competitors and 11 different divisions, is underway. Round one of the second event, the Absolute Comedy C City Championship, was held today at Dragonfly Golf Links where 59 teams competed for 14 spots and a chance to play for the city title on Saturday at Club de golf Outaouais.

The final spot was won with a birdie by Troy Monaghan & John de Vroome on the sixth hole of a five-team playoff.

Round one of the first event, the D Division Cty Championship, was held today at Pine View where 27 teams competed for 10 spots and a chance to play for the city title on Saturday at Club de golf Outaouais.

The final spot was won with a birdie by Gurmanjot Bhullar & Alex Djelic on #11 in a three-team playoff.
