Championship Sunday Results (Ottawa Sun Scramble)

The weather finally cooperated and all four divisions managed to finish play at Eagle Creek yesterday. The course held up nicely in the soggy conditions. Compliments to Eagle Creek staff for hosting the 7th annual final day of the Ottawa Sun Scramble City Championship Week.

The four open divisional titles were decided with more incredible play.

Open Division
Curtis Dancy & Robert Mustard fired a tournament record -26 on their way to dethroning six-time champions Allen McGee and Kyle Koski. McGee and Koski broke their own previous tournament record shooting -23.

Ladies
Brenda Pilon & Lise Jubinville are champions for the 4th time with a score of -13.  Lisa Gordon & Erika are runners up with a score of -6.

Senior
Former champions with different partners, Perry Freda & Dave Saunders teamed up to win the Senior title with a new record score of -21. Gabe Louli & David McBain were runners up at -15.

Junior
Maxime Marengère & Alexandre Marengère set a new Junior record with a score of -20. Ryan Turner & Jeremy  McKenzie were runners up with a score of -18.

Congratulations to Saturday's Sun Scramble Champions!

Club de golf Outaouais was impecable and a beautiful setting for Championship Saturday. Thank you to all Outaouais staff for being such wonderful hosts.
Four divisional titles were decided with some incredible golf.
Promomedia B Division
Twenty teams made the cut with the leaders after round one holding on for the win. David Francey & Philip Martin shot a final round 68 to go with their opening round 60 to set a new tournament record of 15 under par. Jason Mercier & Brad Durie were runners up at 8 under.

Ladies B Division
First round leaders Jane Clegg & Robin Kelly held on to win on the 3rd hole of a playoff against Cheryl Lowe & Shari Boyd. After a see-saw battle, Kelly sunk a 25 footer for birdie to secure the win.

C Division
Dean Mckeown & Pat Morin came from 1 stroke back to win in a playoff against Jason Laurans & Tim Matley. Morin holed out from 35 yards for birdie on the second playoff hole for the win!

Ladies C Division
Tanya Gallant & Nathalie Pelletier came from 5 strokes back shooting a 78 in the final round to take the Ladies C title at +21. Kathryne Jessup & Avis Mullaly were runners up at +28.

Final day of competition today with Championship Sunday at Eagle Creek. All eyes are on Kyle Koski and Allen McGee to see if they can come back from a one-stroke deficit to take their 7th consecutive title in the Open Division. The Ladies, Senior and Junior Open titles will also be decided.

Ottawa Sun Scramble Update: Ladies Round #1 in the Bag

First round results from all three ladies divisions now posted.
The top six teams in each division move on to round two at Outaouais for Championship Saturday. In the B division there was a playoff between two teams for the last spot with Laurie Howland / Marie-Josee Bergeron succeeding and moving on. In the C division there was a playoff between four teams for the last two spots. Randeen Campbell / Pamela Backs and Stephanie Vance / Josie Greene move on.

Mark Papousek and Bob Radmore win the 2011 Media Challenge and take home the Régimbal Cup!

The Regimbal Cup has a new home.

Mark Papousek, the legendary morning show host from country station Y101, and playing partner Bob Radmore pulled off the upset Friday with a sizzling 2-under 70 at the challenging 6,288-yard Falcon Ridge layout.

At the Royal Oak kickoff day for the Ottawa Sun Scramble, Papousek and Radmore wrestled the media title away from ‘A’ Ottawa’s Kurt Stoodley and Mike Pang, who finished at 1-over.
